Refund Policy.
1. The 14-day money-back guarantee
When you subscribe to Trade Journal AI, your card is charged immediately for the first monthly or annual term — there is no free trial. To balance that, every new subscriber gets a 14-day money-back guarantee: if it isn't working for you, email adam@tradejournal.ai within 14 days of your first paid charge and we'll refund it in full. We don't ask why. We don't put up forms. No "exit survey," no friction.
2. How to request a refund
- Email adam@tradejournal.ai from the address tied to your account.
- Include the email on the account so we can look up the charge quickly.
- Adam personally replies — usually within one business day. Once approved, the refund posts to your card via Stripe and most banks show it back on the statement in 5–10 business days.
3. What's covered
- Your first paid charge — monthly ($19.95) or annual ($195) — is fully refundable inside 14 days.
- You don't need a "reason." Buyer's remorse, didn't use it enough, didn't like the AI Coach, switched to another tool — all fine.
- Your account stays active until the refund is processed; we don't lock you out the moment you ask. After the refund, your subscription is canceled and access ends.
4. What's not covered
- Renewals. The guarantee covers your first paid charge only. If you've been a subscriber past month one, renewals are non-refundable. You can cancel anytime to prevent future charges.
- Partial refunds for unused time. If you cancel mid-period, you keep access until the end of that period. We don't pro-rate.
- Annual subscribers past 14 days. If you bought annual and request a refund inside 14 days, you get the full $195 back. Past 14 days, the annual plan is non-refundable but you keep access through the term.
- Chargebacks instead of refund requests. If you initiate a chargeback before contacting us, we'll dispute it with our records and your account may be suspended. Just email us first — it's faster.
5. Cancellation (separate from refunds)
Cancellation is always one click away. From Settings → Billing → Manage subscription, click cancel in the Stripe portal. Your subscription stops renewing; you keep access through the end of the current period; no further charges occur. Canceling is not the same as requesting a refund — if you also want your last charge refunded and you're inside the 14-day window, email us.
6. Special cases
Account closure. If you delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account, your subscription is canceled immediately. If you're inside the 14-day window and want a refund of your last charge, request it before deleting — once the account is gone, we can't look up the charge.
Prop firm or team accounts. Custom commercial agreements override this policy. Refund terms in those agreements are what apply.
7. How long refunds take
Once we process the refund in Stripe, the timing depends on your bank: Visa and Mastercard typically post in 5–10 business days; some banks take up to 14. Stripe sends a refund email to the address on file when it goes out. If 15 business days pass and you haven't seen it on your statement, contact us and we'll trace it.
