What sets us apart

An AI coach that actually reads your journal.

Most traders repeat their worst pattern three to five times before they notice. Trade Journal AI catches it the first time — by reading every entry, every rule, every note, and pulling the patterns back out as plain-English coaching. Quiet by default, loud when a pattern matters.

AI Coach
Weekly review · Apr 20
Your London-session ETH longs ran +1.8R average across 7 trades. Your Asian-session shorts printed −0.6R across 4 trades — every loser broke your "wait for 15-min close" rule. You logged that exact mistake on Apr 9 and Apr 14. Either tighten the rule or stop taking Asian shorts.

Per-trade critique

Click any trade, get a 3-paragraph readout: what worked, what failed, what to do differently. Reads your screenshots and notes, not generic advice.

Playbook pressure-test

Ask the AI to test your setup against current market conditions before you enter. Sees your past trades on similar setups and flags risk.

Weekly review

Sunday digest: best/worst setup, rule adherence, broken patterns, suggested adjustments. Reads like your senior trader is paying attention.

What's inside

Less spreadsheet. More signal.

Every feature pays its rent. If it didn't help a real trader trade better, it isn't here.

Charts

A live TradingView chart inside every trade.

Pull up the setup at the timeframe you actually entered on — not the one you remember. Annotations, indicators, and notes save with the trade. The AI Coach reads them too.

Sync

One key, one click — trades just appear.

Read-only API key (or wallet address for Hyperliquid). Trades, fees, funding, balance — all flowing in automatically. Stop copy-pasting from the broker.

The checklist that catches you breaking your own rules.

Tick your custom rules before every entry. A+/A/B/C grade caps tied to account size — the dashboard flags any trade that exceeds the cap before you commit.

No more "I knew I shouldn't have taken that one." Setup grading framework adapted from Lance Breitstein.
Playbook

Five sessions, six setups each — curated, not boilerplate.

Each session ships with six setups: entry trigger, invalidation rule, screenshot reference, and an "Ask AI" pressure-test button that reads your past trades on the same setup.

Journal

Pre-market intent. Post-market reflection.

Write before the open, write after the close. The Sunday weekly review attaches your stats automatically and the AI Coach reads everything — and quotes you back when patterns repeat.

Desk and pocket

Built for the desk. Ready for the phone.

Check your rules before you enter. Log the trade while it's fresh. Read the coach's take on the way home. It's the same journal and the same account on every screen — not a stripped-down companion.

Brokers we sync

Multi-broker sync, rolling out asset-by-asset.

Bitunix and Hyperliquid auto-sync are live in production — Hyperliquid just graduated out of beta. Binance USDT-M Futures is live in beta, and Bybit and OKX beta testing is now open. KuCoin, Coinbase, and Kraken are next on the roadmap — each next-up broker has its own intent-capture page so you can get notified when sync ships. Manual entry and CSV import work with any broker today, so you're never locked out — and we ship a new native integration roughly every two to three weeks. Live broker setup pages: Bitunix, Hyperliquid, Binance.

Direct support

A direct line to the team building it.

No ticket queue. No "we'll get back to you in 5–7 business days." Support comes straight from the people building the product — not a tier-1 agent reading a script. Bug fixes ship fast (usually same-week, often same-day), and the roadmap is shaped by user requests. Have an idea that would sharpen the journal? Send it. If it makes sense for active futures and crypto traders, it gets built.

Email support@tradejournal.ai and you reach the team that builds the product — not a tier-1 agent reading from a script. Most replies go out within 24 hours, usually faster on weekdays.

Fast fixes, weekly ship

Bugs ship in days, not quarters

Found something broken? It's usually fixed and deployed the same week — sometimes the same day. New features land continuously, not on a quarterly release cycle. The changelog inside the app shows what's new each week.

Feature requests welcome

How we compare

Us, vs. spreadsheets, vs. the established names.

Short version: built futures-and-crypto-first, with manual entry and CSV import keeping every other market fully covered. AI is a first-class feature, not a paid add-on. Pricing is transparent.

What's coming

The roadmap, in plain English.

No dated quarters or fake commitments. Three buckets — what's live today, what's next on the bench, and what's further out. The list moves left as things ship.

Now · Live today

In your hands the moment you sign up.

  • Web app — full feature set Trade editor with embedded TradingView charts, journal, weekly review, rules checklist, AI Coach.
  • Bitunix native sync Read-only API key → trades, fees, funding, balance flow in automatically.
  • Hyperliquid native sync Wallet-address connect — no API keys. Spot + perps combined into one live view.
  • AI Coach Per-trade critique, weekly digest, Ask AI on any trade — Claude Sonnet, grounded in your own journal.
  • Playbook with custom setups + custom indicators v1 Build your own setups, write or auto-generate Pine Script v6 indicators, copy-share between accounts.
  • 39-widget customizable dashboard Drag-and-drop, multiple saved layouts, every metric you'd build in a spreadsheet.
  • CSV / MT4 / MT5 / NinjaTrader / TradingView / Tradovate import For traders not on Bitunix — bring history from any of these and the journal works the same.
Next · In active development

Currently being built. Ship targets are "when it's right", not a quarter.

  • Native broker integrations — Phase 1 Binance is live in beta; Bybit and OKX beta access is opening now. Same auto-sync experience as Bitunix.
  • Mobile app — iOS & Android Native apps for journaling on the go. Read-first; full editor on web. Coming soon.
  • AI Coach Unlimited add-on $9.95/mo or $99/yr to remove the daily AI cap — for users who lean heavily on the Coach without bringing their own Anthropic key.
  • Custom Indicators v2 — public landing pages Each indicator gets its own public URL with previews and a "save to library" CTA, turning every share into a discovery surface.
Later · On the horizon

Committed but further out. Order may shift based on user feedback.

  • Native broker integrations — Phases 2–6 The full ~26-platform roadmap: Tradovate, NinjaTrader, MT4/MT5 bridges, Coinbase, Kraken, Interactive Brokers, and more — gated on per-broker setup guides shipping alongside each.
  • Desktop app — macOS & Windows Native desktop client for traders who want a dedicated journal window outside the browser.
  • Multi-model AI ensemble Routing different setup-intelligence tasks to different models (Claude / GPT / Grok) where each has a measurable strength. Same Sonnet voice for the Coach itself — this is about specific backend tasks, not "smarter AI replies."
  • Tax export — Form 8949 & crypto cost basis End-of-year exports your CPA can drop straight into a return. Section 1256 60/40 treatment for futures contracts, plus FIFO / LIFO / specific-ID lot selection for crypto. Done right, not done fast.

Have something you'd like prioritized? Email the founder. Roadmap is shaped by what active futures and crypto traders ask for.

Frequently asked

The questions traders ask first.

If yours isn't here, just ask.

What if it isn't a fit?
14-day money-back guarantee. Try the full product — AI coach, dashboards, broker sync, all of it — with zero risk. If you decide to subscribe and it still isn't working for you, it covers your first paid charge — just email within 14 days of that charge. Email support@tradejournal.ai — no forms, no hoops, no "tell us why we lost you" survey. Cancel anytime from Settings.

For context: Tradezella states "all sales final, no refunds," and Tradervue is also "no refunds" after their trial. We back ours because we believe in what we're shipping enough to stand behind it.
Will my Bitunix API keys be safe?
Yes. We require read-only keys — they can pull positions and balance, but they cannot place trades, withdraw funds, or move money. Keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, isolated per account, and never logged in plaintext. You can revoke a key from your Bitunix account at any time and the sync stops immediately. If you'd rather not connect at all, manual entry and CSV import work for any broker.
How fast is support?
Email support@tradejournal.ai and you reach the team that actually builds the product — not a tier-1 agent. Most replies go out within 24 hours during the work week, often faster. Bugs ship same-week and frequently same-day. No ticket queue, no "we'll escalate this," no scripted responses.
Can I request a feature?
Yes — please. The roadmap is built largely from user requests. Send what you'd like to support@tradejournal.ai or through the contact form. If your idea sharpens the journal for serious futures and crypto traders, it gets prioritized. New features ship continuously, not on a quarterly release cycle.
Do I need to use Bitunix?
No. Bitunix gives you the cleanest experience — auto-sync, live balance, position imports — but everything else works the same with manual entry, CSV import, or MT4/MT5 history files. The dashboard, AI coach, playbook, rules checklist, and journal don't care where the trades came from.
I trade futures, not crypto. Is this for me?
Yes. The product was built for active futures and crypto traders specifically — session-based setups (London, NY, overlap), R-multiple position sizing, broker P&L reconciliation, daily-loss caps. Crypto auto-sync (Bitunix) is live now; futures auto-sync via Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and the MT4/MT5 bridge are in active development. Until those ship, manual entry and CSV import keep you fully covered, and every other feature works identically.
What does the AI cost?
Included in your subscription. There's a fair-use daily token cap that covers normal usage — per-trade critiques, weekly review, Ask AI conversations. If you hit the cap or just want unlimited, drop your own Anthropic API key in Settings → Integrations: your key, your billing, your call. No upcharge from us either way.
How is this different from Edgewonk, Tradervue, or Tradezella?
Three real differences: (1) built futures-and-crypto-first — session-based playbooks, R-multiple sizing, exchange auto-sync. (2) The AI Coach is a core feature, not a premium add-on; it reads your full journal and quotes your own notes back. (3) Honest flat pricing at $19.95/mo with no upsell tiers. If you're trading futures or crypto and want AI coaching grounded in your own trades, this is built specifically for you. Equity and options day-traders are welcome — manual entry, CSV import, the AI Coach, and the playbook system aren't market-specific. Tradervue and Edgewonk remain excellent if you'd prefer a journal that's equities-first by design.
